For 45-year-old Chuck Echevarria from Amherst, New York, the New Year didn’t get off to a very good start. Marking perhaps a new low for stupid criminals, Chuck waltzed into a big box store, took a cart and proceeded to fill it with over $1,700 worth of Dyson vacuums.
Then, he brazenly pushed his cart right outside without paying, walking right past several security cameras in the process. The footage posted on YouTube not only shows a clear view of his face, but also of the license plate on his vehicle.
It’s no surprise that this king of stupid criminals was quickly arrested. In fact, his antics had already landed him in jail in Pennsylvania on different charges.
So what did Chuck steal? A lot of different things, but most of his loot consisted of Dyson vacuums of all things. This has earned him the title of the Dyson thief in local media coverage around Amherst.
We personally think that walking out of a store with a cart full of merchandise and your face in plain view is pretty foolish, but Chuck’s choice of merchandise to target is even dumber to us. If the Dyson thief was going to steal a vacuum, we can’t understand why he’d pass up higher quality models like the Shark Navigator and go for a Dyson instead.
Obviously, Chuck didn’t plan his heist too well, and he didn’t bother to research what he was stealing either. Just one look at Shark vacuum reviews online would have told him that in the Dyson vs Shark debate, Shark vacuums always come out on top.
If you’re making the Dyson vs Shark decision for yourself, we hope you’ll look into the matter more carefully than the good old Dyson thief did. You can check out the Shark Navigator and other Shark vacuums at GoVacuum.com and see for yourself why choosing a Dyson vs a Shark makes stupid criminals even stupider.
Plus, when you’re ready to buy one of our new Shark vacuums, you’re sure to love the price. They’re practically a steal.
We know it’s not nice to brag, but we recently got some exciting news that we
simply have to share with our blog readers.
Our Amazon Marketplace store was recently honored by Amazon for being one of the top sellers during the 2012 Holiday Season. This means we were not only tops on Amazon vacuum sales, but we also were among the top 25 percent of all sellers on Amazon in terms of sales volume. In addition, we also received an A+ rating on our customer feedback posted from those who bought our vacuums on Amazon during November and December 2012.

You may find it surprising that Amazon vacuum sales are high around Christmastime, as a new vacuum may not seem like a popular gift, but we’ve found
that sales of vacuums on Amazon and GoVacuum.com increase each year when people start Christmas shopping. This is not only because of gift-giving, but also
because many people decide to upgrade their vacuums to get their house squeaky clean before decorating. We also sell a lot of vacuum accessories and vacuum bags
on Amazon once Thanksgiving rolls around.
So what exactly made up our stellar sales of vacuums on Amazon? A lot of things, but our ZVac HEPA filters on Amazon sell particularly well. ZVac is our own brand
of generic HEPA filters, which are available for much less than many conventional brands. Our filters meet all OEM specifications and work with models from some of
the biggest manufacturers, including Hoover, Dirt Devil and Kenmore. We also have plans to start selling ZVac vacuum bags on Amazon and on GoVacuum.com in the
near future.
We’re very proud of our Amazon sales results and are hoping to have another strong year on our Marketplace store and our GoVaccuum.com e-commerce store. We couldn’t have done so well without the help of our customers, particularly the readers of our blog who tell their friends and family about our Amazon sales on vacuums and our
great customer service. So from all of us here at GoVacuum.com to you, thank you for your support and for your business!
Congratulations to Kira Wojack, and co-conspirator Heidi Heldstab of Fort Bragg, California!!!
The contest was to test the creativity of our loyal customers and fans in making their own music video to our GoVacuum Rap song about the one-of-a-kind Sebo GV62712 Felix Crystallize.
This unique Sebo vacuum possesses an outer bag covered in 1,000 Swarovski Elements, a power nozzle that’s covered with beautiful diamond dust, and a silver plated handle. Do not let its outward appearance full you, this may be pretty on the outside but has no problem getting down and dirty. Sebo vacuums are one of the industries finest vacuums offering the best in performance, filtration, and durability.
Without further ado, here is their winning video:

Very Creative!! I hope they had as much fun making it as we had watching it. Great Job!
It pays to be a fan of GoVacuum. Whether you “like” us on Facebook or “follow” us on Twitter, maybe even have our main page as your home page – all will keep you informed as to the latest in contests and giveaways.
Just right now we are running a contest for the first and only Apple iPad Mini, with an outer case covered in Meteor dust!
So stayed tuned.
We are spellbound by her cuteness. The chewing of clothes, not yet being potty trained (but we’re working on it), and rambunctious ways all get overlooked, because who can get mad at something so cute?
Reminds me of Puss in Boots, no matter what mischievous events he finds himself in, he just pushes back those ears, widens those eyes, and the people that were chasing him just turn to putty in his paws.
The biggest issue we are having and is why we are turning to our customers, Facebook fans, and twitter followers – is choosing a name for her. Even the brightest of minds at GoVacuum (which might not be saying much) cannot find a name that seems to fit.
We are asking the collective here to help choose a name and we have come up with an award that is truly “out of this world.”
Now I know you’re asking yourself, “How did GoVacuum get a hold of an alien spacecraft?” Well, to that I say none of your business; but we are offering up a brand new Apple iPad Mini with a case that is covered in Meteor dust!!!!!
That’s right a Meteor that flew through space and happened to hit our planet, is now going to be on your Apple iPad.
Bet that Meteor didn’t see that coming?!?
The contest is being held from January 7, 2013 until April 1, 2013 and anyone can go online to GoVacuum.com’s homepage to enter the contest, choose a great name for their brand new addition to the family, and potentially win this “out of this world” prize.

(might be a slight exaggeration of turnout for our recycling event)
It doesn’t stop at just one event. The fusion of teamwork from GoVacuum.com and Forever Green Recycling will be offering recycling services daily.
Just like the slogan, “only you can prevent forest fires,” well only YOU can prevent needless landfill consumption of broken, no longer wanted or needed vacuum cleaners.
The buzz of our recycling effort is gaining momentum within the online community as well. With Recyclescene.com, Earthtechling.com, and Earth911.com leading the charge in getting the message out and informing people that there are positive, worthwhile alternatives for the disposal of vacuum cleaners.
So if you are local within the DC, Maryland, Northern Virginia area – please feel free to drop by our Vacuums Unlimited (GoVacuum) headquarters which is located at 14500 Lee Road Chantilly, VA 20151.
If you are not local but still want to take advantage of this wonderful program, please visit Vac-Recycle.com. Upon visiting the site, we will walk you through step by step from what your vacuum is worth to having a tree being planted in an endangered rain forest in your honor and everything in between.
Your recycling efforts do not have to stop at just vacuums. Forever Green Recycling specializes in the recycling of unwanted or no longer needed electronics. Whether you are bogged down with old gyroscopes, silicon wafers, copper anodes, and oscilloscopes or more common items like radar and sonar equipment – Forever Green Recycling has your recycling needs covered.
For a complete list of electronics Forever Green Recycling accepts, click here.
Please remember that a little effort can make a huge impact. Use these avenues to make a difference now and many years into the future.
This convenient two-step process is simple. Step one; take your everyday vacuum and hose. Step two; take a ketchup bottle top and place it over the vacuum hose and your good to go vacuum. To all those germaphobes and neat freaks out there, you’re welcome. Cleaning every nook and cranny never seemed so easy.
Now you’ll be able to clean in between the crevices in your everyday life leaving you with a clean feeling. And it’s much less expensive too! Now you’re good to go, and don’t forget to refer all your vacuum needs to Govacuum.com.
Don’t settle for one of the cheap USB vacuum cleaners, you’ll find that those things suck or well, rather, they don’t! Buy a SEBO vacuum at the best price only from GoVacuum, where you’ll find hundreds of vacuum reviews!
You are never going to believe how simple it is. All you need is a vacuum and a stocking or if you’re a dude who owns dress socks, those will work too. Now if you’re a dude and you have stocking’s… more power to ya’. Just take the end of your vacuum hose, place a stocking over it – creating a filter-like effect, and take your vacuum on a treasure trove hunt. You’ll find all the stuff you never really noticed was lost but always gave you the feeling of, “dang something is missing in my life.”
Who needs a metal detector, I mean seriously?!? Have you ever seen a robber out at the park trying to crack a safe? There are way more valuable items just laying around lost in your bedroom. There is no better feeling than pulling your wedding ring out of the kitchen sink or shutting up your stupid brother in law in a friendly game of monopoly, Boooyaw! So give it a try and don’t forget to refer to GoVacuum.com for all of your vacuum needs.
I’m Cliff and this is my first blog post, how did I do? Email me at cliff@govacuum.com and let me know!

Chronic bronchitis, emphysema, and sometimes asthma are a group of diseases that cause breathing related problems and airflow blockages that make up COPD, or Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.
What causes COPD?
There are a few variables that studies have shown to play a huge role in people developing Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease or already have the condition but are making it worse.
Exposure to air pollutants in the workplace or home, respiratory infections and asthma, all play their role in developing and progressing COPD but the key factor in the United States is tobacco use. In a growing amount of cases, indoor air quality can possibly play an even larger role in the development or progression of this dangerous disease.
One demographic affected most by the pollutants within the home and / or buildings are the elderly. Elderly spend roughly 90% of their time indoors and can become susceptible to environmental hazards such as, tobacco smoke, mold, dust, pollen, animal dander, dust mites, and even cockroaches. Other sources include oil, gas, kerosene, coal, and certain household cleaning products which contain irritating odors.
We at GoVacuum wanted to shed light on this growing concern but also offer a valuable, high powered weapon to combat COPD within the home and / or building.

There is one company that not only specializes in the manufacturing and engineering of high quality, innovative air purifying perfection, but is also recommend by the American Lung Association for COPD – and that is IQ Air.
IQ Air produces exceptional air purifiers that use Hyper HEPA technology in a sealed system which captures 99.97% of all particles, as small as 0.003 microns. This micron measurement represents the smallest particles that exist and include viruses, dust mites, pet dander, air pollution, and even cigarette smoke. IQ Air uses nanofiber technology which stops particles 100 times smaller than what other air purifiers claim.
Using IQ Air machines will greatly reduce the ultra fine particles associated with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. Unfortunately there are many air purifiers on the market that claim to do the same but are actually ineffective or even worse, dangerous.
Other air purifiers offer inferior filtration designs, that can possibly produce ozone or contain ionizers. Ozone and Ionizers are significantly dangerous because the can exacerbate COPD and other respiratory conditions.
November is the American Lung Association’s COPD and Lung Cancer Awareness Month and GoVacuum wanted to raise people’s ”IQ” about Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and provide the information needed to choose the right air purifying company to tackle this important and deadly issue.
So hop in your car with your old vacuum, broken or working, and leave Washington DC to head down route 50! After selling us your vacuum and/or buying one from us at the BIGGEST SALE we’ve ever had in 35 years, why not drive a few miles down the street and have fun at a wine festival? We’re just minutes from many Virginia wineries. Why am I trying to suggest heading to a winery afterwards? Well besides the fact I’ll probably end up there after our vacuum recycling event, I fear you won’t show up just for the vacuum recycling event, so I’m trying to entice you with wine.
I don’t even know that there’s a wine festival this weekend, but I do know Chrysalis Winery is just a few miles away and it’s always beautiful countryside scenery that makes for a great break from Washington DC’s political landscape. Oh, plus there’s also the National Air & Space Museum just down the street if you’re heading over with family! The point I’m trying to make is this… If you live in or near Washington DC, please attend our event! I’ll even have the gold and priceless vacuums on display so you can get a photo with each for FREE!
So my Washington DC and surrounding area residents (that includes you too Maryland), please note there is no trick to Vacuums Unlimited’s (AKA GoVacuum.com) biggest sale in 35 years. There is also most certainly a treat for customers and the environment this year with a recycling event just in time for Halloween. Vacuums Unlimited (of GoVacuum) and Forever Green Recycling are pairing up for a big recycling event festival in Virginia this October (just outside Washington, D.C.). This one-day only sale and recycling event will be Saturday, October 27th, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Is this a wine festival with music for Washington, DC area residents? Hardly! There will be no wine at this festival and it’s hardly a festival, it’s a recycling event! Don’t worry District of Columbia area residents, there will be music playing (just no bands). What gives then?
Well, Vacuums Unlimited will be having their biggest sale on vacuums, air purifiers, carpet cleaners and more! Open boxed vacuums, customer returns, re-boxed, refurbished, rebuilt, and more, during this event only are being liquidated! No rain checks will be dispersed for items on sale as the sale includes only items in stock.
Who knew that recycling could pay off? And could even take that old clunker of a vacuum out of the closet to free up some space? For this recycling event, Vacuums Unlimited will be offering store credits for vacuums in any condition, that old clunker that has not worked in years can earn a customer a neat $20 store credit. The vacuum in the back closet that still sometimes works but makes a whining sound could be worth up to $50. This store credit can also be used towards the machines on sale!
Just bring the vacuum down to the parking lot of their vacuum showroom and warehouse in Chantilly, VA 20151; located at 14500 Lee Road, Unit G (just 20 minutes from D.C & 45 minutes from Baltimore). After the vacuums have been purchased by Vacuums Unlimited, they will try to rebuild your vacuum and give it a new home to clean up. In the event they can’t repair the vacuum, they will strip the vacuum for reusable parts. The parts that cannot be retrieved for reuse will be recycled next door with Forever Green Recycling.
Customers can also bring in other various electronics to be recycled with Forever Green Recycling; click here for a more complete list of items. There is no need to fret over whether or not the vacuums and electronics will end up cluttering the landfill because of Forever Green Recycling’s 99% no-landfill policy.
Vacuums Unlimited and Forever Green Recycling have certainly come together with a different take on the idea of less-is-more, with less landfill clutter and more benefits for the customer and the environment. If you cannot make it for the event but still want to recycle your vacuum, check out their new recycling program.
There will even be a FREE raffle for a Hoover vacuum cleaner! No purchase or vacuum to sell to Vacuums Unlimited required, just stop by and pick up a ticket and they’ll email you if you’re the winner! So if you’re in the Washington, DC area and looking for a unique and fun festival event on the weekend to hit up, check out the first ever Vacuums Unlimited vacuum recycling event that’s just a 20 minute drive from Washington DC & just minutes from many wine festivals at local wineries!
